Below, we take a look at what to consider when choosing beds for small dogs.

How does your dog like to sleep?

Smaller dogs often like a greater feeling of security. If this is the case, our range of walled box beds are ideal. With a smaller front access, and high sides and rear, our walled box beds come in a range of sizes and colours, perfect for the dog who likes to feel safe and secure. If they are more of a sprawler, you can choose one of our small dog mattress beds which offer more space and less restriction.

Which size small dog bed to choose

We have an extensive range of styles to choose from with our small dog beds available in x-small, small and medium. The x-small option is 50cm (20”) with the medium ranging from 75-80cm (30-32”). The medium option may be preferred if you have a larger small dog that likes more space or if you have two tiny dogs that like to share. Again, the size you choose will depend on how your dog likes to sleep.

Choice of Styles and Colours

When it comes to choosing small dog beds, you really are spoilt for choice. There are so many options to choose from. You may even decide to buy more than one bed, choosing to match your dog’s bed to the theme of your home interiors. You can also buy replacement covers giving you the option to change the theme of your small dog’s bed to suit the seasons.

Caring for your small dog bed

If your dog likes to get back from their walk and hop straight on the bed with muddy paws, or is continually shedding or drooling, fear not. Our covers are removable and machine washable. Simply take the covers off and put them in the washing machine. Leave to dry naturally (don’t tumble dry), before simply popping them back on the bed again. They are also really easy to hoover should you have a dog that sheds.
